How long is a game?
There are three difficulties. As the title screen states, a game takes about 1h45 on Story, about 2h on Normal and about 2h20 on Hard.
How do I play on a touchscreen?
Move with the on-screen joystick and act with the on-screen buttons. Landscape is recommended; portrait works too.
How does saving work?
The game saves itself every dawn. You can also save at any time: open the pause menu and tap SAVE. Saves are kept only on your device, in the app's own storage, and are included in your device backups if you have backups turned on.
How do I export a save?
Open Saves › Export this island, then tap Share file to send the save through the iOS share sheet to wherever you choose, or tap Copy save code to copy it as a code you can paste anywhere. Nothing leaves your device unless you do one of these.
How do I import a save?
In Saves, under Import, paste a save code and tap Load code, or tap Choose file and pick an exported .ember file. Loading a save replaces the island you are playing, so progress since your last save is lost.
I deleted the app. Can I get my saves back?
Deleting the app deletes its saves. If you exported a save file or copied a save code first, import it again as above. A device backup made with backups turned on also includes the game's saves.
Can I play in a browser?
Yes. The web version of Ember Isle plays at ember-isle.bnwill32.workers.dev.
